CHIPPIE'S VIRTUAL SUMMER CAMP-IN-A-BOX

Are there budding young scientists in your household? Nurture the curious spirit of your children by enrolling them in Chippie's Virtual Summer Camp-in-a-Box. Inspired by Chippie, BCM's chipmunk mascot, these interactive virtual summer camps will engage and entertain kids while teaching science basics, incorporating S.T.E.A.M. elements and age-appropriate experiments.
The camps have been developed for two different age levels: Pre-K through 2nd grade and 3rd through 5th grade. All "camps" will contain the following:
- Five (5) days of activities scheduled Tuesday through Saturday.
- Daily live interaction with BCM staff and teen counselors for approximately one hour each day via a Zoom meeting (a personal link will be provided to you).
- Complete instruction for each of the various experiments, activities, crafts, nature walks, and scavenger hunts.
- All supplies needed (except for nature objects that will need to be collected as part of some of the activities).
- Supplementary handouts and other materials.
- Links to online videos pertaining to the theme/topic of the day.
- Plenty to keep your "camper" occupied for at least two to three hours per day, while learning about science, nature, art and more; all while having fun!
- Parental supervision is highly recommended, especially for the younger children.
You will be given a date to pick up the Camp-in-a-Box supplies prior to the start of camp.
